In early June, the leadership of the Volyn temporary residence center for foreigners and stateless persons illegally staying on the territory of Ukraine, represented by its director Valery Nikolayevich Demchuk, turned to the Assalam International Charitable Foundation with a written request to provide charitable assistance.
On July 22, 2013, President of the Assalam International Charitable Foundation and the International Committee for the Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens “Shield” Dager Saleh Muhamed visited the Volyn, a temporary residence center for foreigners stateless persons. People from Arab countries, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and other countries live there. Some live alone, but there are whole families. For the effective organization of leisure, improving the living conditions of these people who are in a crisis in states of long-term retention, taking into account religious, national characteristics, and country of origin, the leadership of the Assalam Foundation, decided to provide charitable assistance to the Volyn PVPI and the people who live there. A multimedia projector and screen, footballs and basketballs, table tennis sets, books, and textbooks were donated to carry out educational activities among illegal migrants. They also donated clothes, hats, personal hygiene items, and food. Food products were purchased separately for the citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Director of the Volynsk PVPI, Valery Demchuk, thanked Daher Saleh and the Assalam International Charitable Foundation for their charitable assistance.
