Sexual exploitation and sexual abuse are not merely isolated violations; they are serious crimes that strike at the very heart of human dignity and undermine the safety, psychological well-being, and physical health of societies. There is no moral, legal, or humanitarian justification for depriving any person of their right to feel safe and to defend their body and personal integrity.
International estimates indicate that approximately one in three women worldwide has experienced some form of physical or sexual violence during her lifetime. Large numbers of children, girls, and boys are also exposed to various forms of sexual violence and exploitation. The actual figures are likely to be higher, as many cases go unreported due to fear, threats, social stigma, or other barriers to reporting.
Protecting children, women, and all vulnerable groups from exploitation, sexual abuse, and coercion is a moral and legal responsibility shared by every individual and institution. Silence in the face of such crimes contributes indirectly to their continuation, while tolerance toward perpetrators weakens the foundations of justice and the rule of law.

Promoting human rights awareness and strengthening the role of society in monitoring and confronting all forms of violence, abuse, and coercion.
The right to protection from violence and exploitation is a fundamental human right recognized by international human rights instruments and declarations. Let us all stand firmly against exploitation and work together to build a society in which the law protects the dignity of everyone without discrimination.
