Reducing the psychological and social pressure on orphaned and poor children, deviating from their regular daily routine, and playing various cultural and recreational games and activities that stimulate their imagination, develop their creativity, develop their skills, enhance their self-confidence, and increase the effectiveness of their communication with others.

The gratitude of the State Migration Service of Ukraine for the President of the International Organization “Shield.”
July 28, Head of the Main Department of the State Migration Service in the Odessa region, Pogrebnyak Elena Gennadievna,
presented a Letter of Gratitude from the Head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, Maxim Sokolyuk, President of the International Organization “Shield,” Professor Daher Saleh Muhamed, for the organization’s fruitful work on research and monitoring of human rights in Ukraine, as well as support for refugees, migrants from Donbas and Crimea providing them with humanitarian and free legal assistance. The presentation was attended by representatives of the international organization “Shield,” the organization “Ukraine in Arabic,” the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Migration,” the Chechen Diaspora in Ukraine, the International Union of Journalists and Writers IUJW and the Assalam Charitable Foundation. The head of the Migration Service expressed his gratitude for the charitable assistance provided and the contribution made by the President of the Shield organization to improving the lives of refugees and internally displaced persons from Donbas and Crimea. Daher Saleh Muhamed promised to continue supporting refugees and working in every possible way to establish peace worldwide.
On June 7, in the Odessa City garden, positive action took place for a case of the Day of Vietnam in Odessa. Organizers appeared Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Ukraine and the Vietnamese association in Odesa with the support of the Odesa regional public administration and the Odesa city council. I opened the action with the Plenipotentiary ambassador of Vietnam in Ukraine, Huo Dak Min Nguyet. I told that in Odessa, this first action of such character that the purpose of carrying out a holiday became a desire to acquaint the city and its inhabitants with Vietnam’s culture, traditions, vital way, and cuisine. So that it was possible to provide everything better, benches and tents with various handiwork and creativity, food and drinks are organized. Here the exhibition of operations of the known Vietnamese photographer was provided to City Garden Are figured as the sight of Vietnam and – Odessa. As guests of honor, there were representatives of public authorities and local government, public organizations, and national and cultural societies.
The holiday came to an end with a bright and colorful concert.
In Kyiv, on March 10, 2015, the fifth meeting of the Commission on International Relations of the Public Council of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine took place. Deputy Minister of European Integration Vitrenko Andrei Nikolayevich attended the meeting.
It should be noted that Dr. Saleh Вaher, head of the Shield Organization, has been an official member of this council since its inception.
In the first days of June, the leadership of the Volyn temporary stay center for foreigners and stateless persons illegally staying on the territory of Ukraine, represented by the director Valery Nikolayevich Demchuk, addressed the Assalam International Charitable Foundation with a written request to provide charitable assistance.
On July 22, 2013, the President of the Assalam International Charitable Foundation and the International Committee for the Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens “Shield” Daher Saleh Muhamed visited the Volyn, a temporary stay center for foreigners stateless persons. At the moment, people from Arab countries, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and other countries live there. Some live alone, but there are whole families. To effectively organize leisure, improve the conditions of stay of these people who are in a crisis in conditions of long-term detention, taking into account religious, national characteristics, and country of origin, the leadership of the Assalam Foundation decided to provide charitable assistance to the Volyn PVPI and the people who live there. A multimedia projector and screen, soccer and basketball balls, table tennis sets, books, and textbooks were donated to conduct educational activities among illegal migrants. Also, donated clothes, hats, personal hygiene items, and food. Separately, food products were purchased for citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Since 2001, the whole world has celebrated the Day of Refugees every year. The UN General Assembly proclaimed this holiday on December 4, 2000. The number of people seeking refuge is only increasing every day. In Odessa, the celebration of World Refugee Day took place on the Temporary Accommodation Center for Refugees territory. The event was attended by: the Head of the Main Directorate of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region, Tkachuk Sergey Vladislavovich, Deputy Regional Representative of the UNHCR in Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine Vanno Nupech, Head of the Refugee Directorate of the Main Directorate of the State Migration Service in the Odesa Region Oleg Vladimirovich Tkachuk, President International Committee for the Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens “Shield” and the International Charitable Foundation “Assalam” Dager Saleh Muhamed, representatives of state authorities and local self-government, various national-cultural societies and communities. The concert and entertainment program was presented by the pupils of the Odessa Center for Children and Youth Creativity “Promin,” the Temporary Accommodation Center for Refugees, the judo association “Victoria,” as well as the “UN” group with a cheerful medley of famous domestic and foreign compositions. At the festival, one could see national costumes and taste Afghan pilaf and Arabian sweets. Representatives of the International Charitable Fund “Assalam” presented gifts to the children present. President of the “Shield” Committee and the “Assalam” Foundation, Dager Saleh received gratitude “for cooperation with state bodies, support, and assistance in the formation, an adaptation of representatives of ethnic communities in the Ukrainian society of the Odesa region” from the State Institution of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region and a letter from the Odesa Center for Children and Youth Creativity “Promin” for active participation in the creative life of the Center.

Despite all the efforts made by world leaders to reduce starvation globally, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations said that the number of hungry people in the world has increased since 2015. The organization attributed the increase in global famine to climatic conditions and conflicts in Somalia and South Sudan, Nigeria, and Yemen.
The Food and Agriculture Organization announced that the increase in the number of hungry people in the world increased two years ago, which is a setback for the progress achieved over the years, noting that about 60 percent of the world’s hungry people live in areas affected by conflict and climate change.
The Director-General of FAO noted that progress had been made in combating the problems of poverty and hunger in recent decades. Still, such achievements are in danger of being reversed due to new challenges posed by conflict, population growth, climate change, and changing dietary patterns. More than 20 million people are threatened with hunger.
It is time to rethink how our food is grown, shared, and consumed.
And if we do it right, farms, forests, and fisheries can provide nutritious food for all and generate decent sources of income while supporting people-centered rural development and protecting the environment.
However, soils, freshwater, oceans, forests, and biodiversity rapidly degrade. Climate change puts additional pressure on the resources we depend on, increasing the risks associated with disasters such as droughts and floods. Many rural men and women can no longer make ends meet on their land, forcing them to migrate to the cities in search of opportunity.
A profound change in the global food and agricultural system is needed if we are to feed the 805 million hungry people today, with an additional 2 billion people expected by 2050.
The food and agriculture sector provides critical solutions for development and is central to eradicating hunger and poverty.
