On May 14, 2021, as part of the celebration of Europe Day in Ukraine, a meeting of the Council, “Odesa Association of Nationalities,” was held in Odesa Mary. In Daher Saleh Muhamed took part and made a speech; honorable guests took part in the meeting of the Council: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasily Bodnar, Chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration Sergey Grinevetsky, Chairman of the Odesa Regional Council Grigory Didenko, representatives of the diplomatic corps and national-cultural organizations. Mayor Gennady Truhanov noted that interculturalism is the basis of the mentality of the region’s inhabitants and drew an analogy between the Odessa association with the UN international organization: both organizations have common goals and promote the same values ??- peace, security, development of cooperation between peoples and states. One of the priority tasks of the Council is to help improve the ethnonational and ethnopolitical situation. An expanded meeting of the Council, with acquaintance and exchange of contacts, is designed to promote further cooperation and solution of problematic issues, bringing even more positive results for the development of Odesa and Ukraine. “Together, we provide conditions for the development of the diaspora, the realization of the rights and freedoms of their representatives. And also contributing to the development of languages ?? of different nationalities, and, of course, the study of the state language “, – said Gennady Trukhanov. I greeted the participants of the meeting; Deputy Foreign Minister Vasyl Bodnar stressed that Odesa is an example of tolerance for the whole of Ukraine and also noted the importance of unification in the formation of Ukrainian legislation and international relations. So, at the moment, the committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is preparing a bill on national minorities. The recommendations of the “Odesa Association of Nationalities” will be helpful to the working group.
On May 27, 2021, the International Congress for the Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens “SHIELD” visited the “Hands of Matusi” organization. As part of their humanitarian mission, they provided charitable assistance by delivering food packages to support those in need. This gesture reflects SHIELD’s commitment to fostering solidarity and addressing pressing social needs, particularly during challenging times.

On February 8, 2016, at the Bristol Hotel (Odessa), an international conference was held on “Let’s stop environmental crimes on Earth.”
The organization “International Congress for the Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens “Shield,” together with the International Personnel Academy and the Odesa regional organization “National Union of Journalists of Ukraine,” became the initiators of the event.
During the conference, important issues of modern society were discussed: “How to prevent an ecological catastrophe on our planet,” “The need for an immediate increase in human environmental culture,” “Getting rid of huge military spending,” “A ban on the development, testing and use of climatic, nuclear, biological and other types of weapons,” “Saving a clean planet for our children.”

Representatives of state bodies, religious institutions, dioceses, and professors who directly solve environmental issues in different cities of Ukraine have joined in solving ecological problems.

In his speech, Plenipotentiary Representative of the International Personnel Academy Osipov Valery Borisovich highlighted the creation of a permanent commission of the UN, the Eurasian Union, the African Union, and the Council of Europe to investigate environmental crimes against humanity as an essential aspect.
The position of the Orthodox Church on the issue of ecology was expressed by the representative of the Odessa diocese, Father Pavel, with the blessing of the Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail.

The representative of the State Institution “Ukrainian Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation and Balneology of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine,” Mozaleva Svetlana Anatolyevna raised the issue that worries the majority of residents of the Odesa region regarding the establishment of the legal status of the Kuyalnitsky estuary and the Kuyalnik resort; she raised in her speech.
The representative of the Green Party of Moldova, Anatoly Prokhnitskiy, stressed the need to eliminate various types of weapons, which primarily hurt the environment.
The representative of the Odesa regional organization of the “National Union of Journalists of Ukraine,” Yury Anatolyevich Rabotin, read out a poem about the environmental situation of our time.
As a result of the discussion, a Draft Appeal was drawn up to the leaders of states and the leadership of international organizations, the content of which was the need to increase the ecological culture of man, the call of humanity to unite in the fight against environmental crimes, the reduction of military spending, the prohibition of the development, testing and use of climatic, nuclear, biological, bacteriological, chemical and other types of weapons. At the end of the event, each participant signed this Draft Appeal.
