At Shevchenko Ave., 1, a round table was held on the topic: “respect for the rule of law and the rights of citizens at the current stage of development of Ukraine. (Condemnation of law violations about citizens of Ukraine, journalists and promotion of tolerance).” The organizers were the public organization “International Congress for the Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens “HIELD””
More than twenty-five state organizations and public representatives of communities took part: deputies of the Odesa City Council, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, representatives of the Migration Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region, the International Organization for the Defense of Human Rights, the Head of the Odesa regional organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, the VGO “”GOU” Nardna Rada “Public formation for the protection of public order and the state border “special detachmententer” Department for Combating Organized Crime at the State Public Educational Institution “aaroundRada” Medical Center “our Health” Georgian Diaspora “veriyach-akartvelo” representative of the Turkmen community, the Muslim community in the Odesa region, the Roma community in Ukraine, a representative of the Dagestan community, the Chechen community in Odesa, a representative of the Pakistani and Afghan communities. Human rights activists, lawyers, jurists and media representatives, the information portal “”kraine in Arabic”” the UMMA news agency and the international union also expressed their opinions.
The following topics were discussed: the state of the rule of law at the current stage of Ukraine’s development and statements by representatives of law enforcement agencies.

Accepted appeal to the country’s leadership on respect for the rule of law and the rights of citizens.
Based on the results of the round table, a collective appeal was prepared and signed by all participants to the President of Ukraine, the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Prime Minister, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with a request to the government of the country to ensure constitutional order in the country, to remove illegal armed and hooligan groups from the streets and organizations, oblige law enforcement agencies to fulfill their duties by the Constitution and legislation of Ukraine.
