Organizational Meeting in Aleppo to Strengthen Field Work, Develop Volunteers, and Promote Community Partnership

As part of its efforts to strengthen humanitarian and community work and develop its volunteer programs, the International Congress SHIELD – Syria Office held an organizational meeting in the city of Aleppo to discuss mechanisms for the next phase of work and establish practical steps to strengthen field activities and activate the role of volunteers and organizational teams in serving the community.
The meeting was led by Mr. Omar Al-Nayef, Director and General Representative of International Congress SHIELD in Syria, who emphasized the importance of developing volunteer work into a structured institutional approach based on planning, capacity building, clear priorities, and cooperation with different sectors of society.
The meeting addressed a number of issues related to organizational and field performance, expanding participation, developing humanitarian and community initiatives that respond to actual needs, strengthening the culture of volunteering and social responsibility, and encouraging young people and qualified individuals to participate in community service.
Distribution of Official Identification Cards and Badges
As part of efforts to organize the work and strengthen the organization’s institutional identity, the meeting included an official ceremony for the distribution of official accreditation cards and identification badges to a number of members. This step aims to strengthen organizational structure and prepare members to participate effectively in the organization’s programs and initiatives.
The new members expressed their readiness to actively participate in volunteer programs, humanitarian initiatives, and community activities, contributing to community service and promoting the values of solidarity, cooperation, belonging, and social responsibility.
Mr. Omar Al-Nayef emphasized that building people is the foundation of any successful development and community project, noting that investing in people, developing qualified teams, and creating an environment that encourages initiative and volunteerism are essential to building a stronger society capable of addressing challenges and shaping its future.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of strengthening community partnerships and creating opportunities for experts, young people, and volunteers to participate in humanitarian and development initiatives. Such efforts can strengthen communication between the organization and the community and transform volunteer action into an effective force for serving people.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue work during the coming phase based on a vision focused on building people, strengthening volunteer action, serving the community, developing qualified teams, and promoting peace, coexistence, and cooperation.
