The organization expresses deep concern over the targeting of workplaces and workers in conflict zones and areas of instability. The Emergence of the International Union for the Defense of Foreign Students
From the International Shield Organization’s interest in supporting students and enhancing their rights, the International Union for the Defense of Foreign Students emerged. It aims to provide legal, social, and educational assistance to expatriate students, protecting them from any discrimination or obstacles they may encounter during their studies abroad.
The union works to unify international efforts to ensure a safe and stable educational environment for foreign students. It also seeks to strengthen cooperation between universities and educational institutions worldwide to provide equal opportunities for all, regardless of their cultural or social backgrounds.

The Student Union in Ukraine was established following a conference attended by diplomatic and official representatives in the city of Odesa.
On May 25, 2017, in the city of Odesa, the International Union for the Defense of Students – Ukraine branch, which stems from the International Shield Organization, held a conference titled “The Main Ways and Fields of Educational Integration for Foreign Students in Ukraine,” attended by diplomatic and official representatives and students from various nationalities across Ukrainian cities.
The session was attended by a representative of the city governor, the Consul of Romania, representatives from the Ministries of Education and Health, the Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Office, the Immigration Department, security agencies, the head of the city council, a representative of the International Red Cross, as well as representatives of social, humanitarian, and media organizations, student companies, journalists, writers, and others.
The International Shield Organization, led by Dr. Saleh Daher, has demonstrated its deep commitment to supporting students and enhancing their role in society. With the emergence of the International Union for the Defense of Foreign Students, there is now a specialized entity working to secure the rights of expatriate students and empower them to achieve their dreams without obstacles.
