Peace to Your Home – An Event by The Shield Organization
On April 26, 2013, The Shield Organization hosted the exhibition for the second competition of artistic and decorative creativity titled “Peace to Your Home.”
The event brought together a diverse group of participants, including children residing in the temporary refugee accommodation center in Odessa, orphaned and migrant children, students from The Shield’s Early Development School and Language Platform, children from mixed marriages (where one parent is a foreigner or refugee), and pupils from several local institutions. Among them were:
- Students from Boarding School No. 3, which supports children with cardiovascular conditions,
- Participants from the Center for Children and Youth Creativity “Promen”,
- Students from Odessa Gymnasium No. 1,
- Students from Odessa Secondary School No. 62.
The competition, open to children aged 8 to 16 years, celebrated the creativity and artistic expressions of young talents. Exceptional works created by the children were recognized and rewarded with valuable gifts and certificates, reflecting the spirit of encouragement and unity that underpinned the event.
The Shield Organization remains committed to fostering creativity, inclusion, and peace through initiatives that bring together children from diverse backgrounds, promoting understanding and mutual respect.
