The devastating hurricane disaster in Libya led to the deaths of hundreds and thousands of missing, injured, and displaced people due to Hurricane “Daniel,” which struck many regions and cities in the north and east of the country, accompanied by heavy rains, which led to massive human and material losses, resulting in thousands of injured and displaced persons, and the destruction of homes and roads. The humanitarian conditions in several cities in Cyrenaica are considered catastrophic and out of control.
A Libyan Red Crescent Society source said, “The total statistics that reached the room from all branches of the Red Crescent amounted to 2,800 dead.”
