The International Congress SHIELD continues to play an active role in supporting international dialogue and strengthening communication among institutions, organizations, and bodies working in the fields of human rights, peace, and development. This role is advanced through the organization and hosting of international events, forums, and meetings that provide opportunities for exchanging perspectives and expertise, while building bridges of cooperation and partnerships among diverse international stakeholders.
These initiatives stem from the Organization’s belief that responsible dialogue and communication among peoples and institutions are essential pathways to addressing international challenges, promoting a culture of peace and mutual understanding, protecting rights and freedoms, and supporting efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development and social justice.
Through the Brussels International Forum 2026, the International Congress SHIELD seeks to further this role by providing a platform that brings together diverse voices, experiences, and perspectives. The Forum enables participants from different countries and institutions to discuss global issues objectively and responsibly, propose initiatives and solutions, and transform ideas into practical opportunities for international cooperation.
The Forum provides an international space for responsible dialogue and the exchange of expertise and perspectives among policymakers, diplomats, experts, academics, and representatives of civil society organizations, with the aim of addressing major global issues that affect the present and future of humanity.
The Forum’s sessions are based on the recognition that rapidly evolving international challenges, particularly armed conflicts, economic crises, climate change, growing human rights violations, and emerging digital challenges, require solutions founded on dialogue, international cooperation, and sustainable partnerships.
The Forum’s sessions will examine these challenges from political, economic, legal, and humanitarian perspectives, while highlighting international experiences and practices and providing participants with an opportunity to present perspectives and initiatives that contribute to advancing peace, strengthening justice, protecting human rights, and supporting sustainable development.
The Forum seeks to make its sessions an interactive platform that combines substantive dialogue with practical discussion, contributing to the development of international partnerships, strengthening institutional cooperation, and producing actionable recommendations that support international cooperation and serve the common interests of peoples.
